Flying
Several major airlines serve the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) located in the southwestern area of the island. Usually flights make a stop in San Juan, Puerto Rico or St. Thomas, however a few non-stop flights are available.

Entry Requirements
While a passport is alwasy your best ID, there is no regulation requiring a U.S. citizen to have one, a U.S. drivers license will suffice. Citizens of any country outside the U.S. should follow regulations required by the U.S. for their country.

What to Wear
The dress here is mostly informal, even in the evening. However, swimsuits, short shorts, halter tops and bare feet or similarly abbreviated attire within city limits is against the law. Cotton clothes are preferred to avoid overheating. Men usually do not wear ties or jackets and nobody bothers with rain coats. Hats and sunscreen are a must to protect you from the Caribbean sun. Even if you tan easily, the Cruzian sun burns. So don't forget to use sunscreen.

Climate
The temperature on St. Croix Island averages 77°F (25° C) in winter to 82°F (27° C) in summer, and the water temperature is nearly identical. In the summer there is a steadiness of the trade winds, blowing almost without exception from an easterly direction. Average annual rainfall is approximately 40 inches, although the eastern portion of the island may get only 10 to 12 inches.

Directions From Henry E. Rohlsen Airport
Look for taxis that go between the airport and the resort. They will take everyone who is going from the plane to the resort all together, giving you a chance to meet your neighbors. However if you are driving:

Go out of the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport, make a left onto Route 64, heading East. Follow Route 64 to Centerline Road (Queen Mary Highway, Route 70). Make a left turn onto Route 70. Continue past the University of VI, and make your first right past UVI (Route 621). At the end of the road make a left turn onto Route 72. Follow winding road past the golf course and down the large winding hill affectionately called "The Beast." At the bottom of the Beast, Route 80 meets Route 69. Turn left and the direct drive will lead to Carambola Beach Resort. There are road signs posted along the way to help you get to the resort.
